Job posting for the Pleasant Mountain Race Team:
Pleasant Mountain Race Team is a grassroots alpine racing program based in Bridgton, ME. We pride ourselves on
an enthusiastic and skilled racing environment with a strong community foundation. With an anticipated growth of
30% enrollment for the upcoming season, we are looking to hire several coaches to round out our team for the
2026/27 season.
Quality Candidates will:
- Be enthusiastic about working with children and young adults
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and fun environment that encourages athlete growth and love for the sport
- Have a solid technical knowledge of modern ski technique and tactics and the ability to impart this to developing
athletes in age-appropriate ways - Guide athlete development with structured feedback, motivation, and positive reinforcement
- Address athlete behavior or injury situations in accordance with PMRT and USSA guidelines
- Hold an understanding of USSA standards, alpine coaching and athlete development methodology
- Have the ability to commit to weekends, holidays, and travel as required during the season
Coaches will need to complete Safe Sport, Coaching Her, and USSS Level 100 training at a minimum in first season.
Wages, coaches’ membership dues, education reimbursements, and travel expenses are competitive. Coaches with
L100, L200 and higher certifications are paid at a higher level, appropriate to their experience.
