Find Your Perfect College Ski Racing Program
College ski racing offers an incredible opportunity to combine your love for the sport with academics. The good news is there's a program out there for you, regardless of your current skillset.
EISA and RMISA: A Challenge for Top Racers
The Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association (EISA) and the Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Ski Association (RMISA) boast highly competitive programs. If you're already pushing yourself at the academy level and racing FIS, these conferences could be a great fit. While all EISA and RMISA programs are FIS only, there are a few that accept students with a wider range of abilities, so don't rule this level out if you are not a top ranked athlete. All teams under EISA or RMISA race as one respective division so there is no distinction from DI to DIII.
USCSA: Diverse Teams for All Levels
The United States Collegiate Ski and Snowboard Association (USCSA) offers a broader spectrum of ski racing programs. You'll find varsity teams stacked with former academy racers competing at FIS-level events. The MacConnell division in the east only races FISU carnivals and will have guests from D1 colleges at each race, for example. But you'll also discover programs designed for skiers of all abilities, with some teams even featuring beginners who are just starting out. These USCSA races often model high school competitions, providing a welcoming environment for new racers.
